Formatting requirements
Please ensure that the submitted manuscript meets the following formatting requirements: Word format, A4 pages, 2.54 cm (normal) margins around, 1.5 line spacing, text justified to the left. Body of text: Times New Roman regular font, size 12 – emphasis should be in italics. Heading 1: Times New Roman bold; Heading 2: Times New Roman bold and italic. Heading 3: Times New Roman italic.
Figures, images and tables may be used, please centre them in the body of text and in the appendix, and please also centre them with a (Arabic) serial number, title/ signature and reference (under the figures and above the tables) – Times New Roman regular, size 10. The text should include references to the corresponding figure, image, or table. E.g.: (Table 1), (Figure 2). If the table or figure is not in the correct place in the text in the manuscript, the approximate location where it is located must be indicated (e.g., Table 1 in the appendix, or see Figure 2 in the previous chapter).
When formatting, please note that the journal is printed in black and white (e.g., diagrams should be marked with clear grayscale or patterns). The thickness of the lines that build up objects (e.g., axes of graphs) should not exceed 0.5-1 point, and the dashed line style should be avoided. Please attach photos separately too.
Footnotes should be used for comments on the text: be brief/ concise and provide references. Please use Arabic numerals, format them in Times New Roman regular font – italics if emphasised – and size 10.
Reference requirements
Thorough and accurate in-text and end-of-text, so bibliography citations (here, the sources have to be listed in alphabetical order) are mandatory to be given in the reference style of the journal (see below) throughout the entire manuscript.
Manuscripts must comply with the ethical standards of scholarly publication. Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and improper citation practices constitute violations of publication ethics and will result in the rejection of the manuscript.

Language, style, punctuation
The text in the manuscripts should be written in a scientific style and with high standards, i.e. with careful and precise wording, linguistic and spelling. As a domestic scientific journal dealing with culture and community, the preservation of Hungarian culture and language is of paramount importance to our Editorial Board, which is why we primarily expect manuscripts in Hungarian. However, with the intention of international outlook and connection, we also accept manuscripts of exceptional importance, written in impeccable British English in some cases (the abstract and keywords must still be provided in two languages).
Numbers: numbers below 10 are usually written in letters in the text, and numbers from ten upwards are written in numbers. Exceptions are statistical data, measures, where numbers are written, and numbers published in a series, where a uniform writing style can be used (e.g. “the measurements were carried out in the seventh, ninth and eleventh grades”). The results of statistical calculations are usually reported with an accuracy of three significant figures. Where the statistical uncertainty of the numerical values is greater, two decimal places are sufficient. For correlation coefficients, two decimal places are sufficient. Decimal places are preceded by a comma in accordance with Hungarian spelling.
Serial numbers: the (sub)chapters should not be numbered, they should only have titles. Within the chapter, in the body of the text, if paragraphs are listed, then related text units are marked with a hyphen (–), an (Arabic) number or a lowercase letter, for example 1. …; 2. …; 3. … or a) …; b) …; c) …; if the list is made within a paragraph, then a number or letter in parentheses before the related text units can be used, for example (1)…; (2)…; (3)… or (a)…; (b)…; (c)… .
Special punctuation marks: In the case of English text, a simple quote is enclosed in double quotation marks (“…”), and a quote within a quote is enclosed in single quotation marks (‘…’). The dash (–) is not the same as the hyphen (-). We enclose comments between dashes or use them to indicate numerical ranges, e.g. between 1997–1999, 3–4. number, 15–30 km. You should be careful with abbreviations, and avoid their use where possible.
Structural and content requirements
The submitted manuscript should be logically structured and have a three-part structure (introduction, body, conclusions); the structural units should be developed in proportion to each other so that the appropriate arc of the research (trajectory) is outlined. In the case of a study (and a longer book review), the additional structural units of the body should follow a narrowing or broadening perspective depending on the type of study and its approach (deductive or inductive). The preparation of the content of the manuscripts should always (so in case of opinion article too) be done with a scientific purpose, perspective and methods.
